Sweet Katarni Chura

Ingredients:

  1. Katarni chura (flattened rice) – 1 cup
  2. Fresh curd (dahi) – ½ cup
  3. Grated jaggery or powdered sugar – 2–3 tbsp (as per taste)
  4. Grated coconut – 2 tbsp (optional)
  5. Chopped banana or mango – ½ cup (optional, seasonal)
  6. Cardamom powder – a pinch
  7. Milk – 2–3 tbsp (optional, for richness)

How to Make: Steps

  1. Rinse the Katarni chura lightly in water and drain. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soften slightly.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened chura, curd, and jaggery (or sugar).
  3. Add coconut, fruits, cardamom, and milk if using.
  4. Mix well and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Perfect for: Breakfast or as a cooling summer snack.
