Kulthi Sattu Ladoo

Makes: 12-15 laddus


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Natureship's Kulthi Sattu
  • 1/2 cup jaggery powder (adjust to taste) 
  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter) 
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder 
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)

How to Make It:

  • Roast the Sattu: Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan.  Add Kulthi Sattu and roast on low flame for 5-7 minutes until aromatic. Transfer to a mixing bowl and let it cool. 
  • Prepare the Jaggery Mixture: In the same pan, add the remaining ghee and melt the jaggery on low heat. Do not overheat to avoid hardening. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Combine the IngredientsPour the melted jaggery mixture into the roasted sattu. Add chopped nuts and grated coconut (if using). Mix thoroughly.
  • Shape the Laddus: While the mixture is warm, take small portions and roll them into round laddus using your palms If the mixture feels too dry, add a teaspoon of warm ghee or water 
  • Cool and Store: Let the laddus cool completely and store them in an airtight container for up to 7-10 days.

 2 tbsp grated dry coconut
